Maine October 2011

Past time to add to our blog... we have had many adventures since we last wrote along with internet issues.
Fall colors in Maine....deeper red than we see at home on the west coast.

We spent 10 days in Maine, we have a friend from RCB who lives in Monmouth Maine. Blaine showed us his beautiful state. Maine is quite rural and has an amazing and diverse coastline. We see such a small piece of everywhere we visit; We try to get a sense of each place we experience and we certainly have  renewed lessons in geography and history.

Near Bar Harbor Maine  we stayed at the summer home of Blaine's brother on the water
we hooked up the MH here and had a great time, was so peaceful, the family had left for the winter
.Blaine and his friend Shirley... they were so good to us....good to visit with friends after 2 months of just Tony and Fran.
Canadian Thanksgiving...happy hour on the beach.

Sunrise on the beach in Trenton Maine where we were staying.

Blaine's home which is very typical for Maine, the barn is part of the house.

Above Bar Harbor and fall colors beginning

Blaine has a summer home in Port Clyde a fishing villagewhere many notable people make it a retreat.
                                       The village of Port Clyde.

Blaine cooked us lobster from Port Clyde fishermen  THE BEST.

                                          I am worried,  I can't see Mom.
Susie and Mamie have been such good travelers.. we move every  3 or 4 days and they seem to adjust well ..of course they keep us in range at all times
